Summer Sunday Worship Time

Just a reminder – we are now on our Summer Worship schedule and Sunday Service starts at 10:00 am until the first Sunday after Labor Day when it is returns to 11:00 am.

For Our Visitors

All are welcome to our Sunday Worship.  If you will be visiting, we’ll be so glad to have you with us!  Please fill out a Visitor’s Card which can be found in the pew racks and place it in the collection plate, or hand it to an usher, so that we can get to know you.

WoWs

Our church is now listed as a charity on Amazon Smile.  If you select the church as your charity, Amazon will donate a percentage of every purchase you make.  If you need more information or help setting it up, please see Karen Clifford or Joanne Hazzard.  This is another easy way for you to help us update our kitchen.

ShopRite cards are available for purchase in the narthex every Sunday after worship.  Proceeds benefit our Kitchen Fund.

If you order from Cheez Pleez, don’t forget to mention our church so we can receive a percentage of your purchase price!

New Members Class

We are so excited that 7 people have expressed interest in joining our Church Family.  In preparation, Rev. Dr. Yousef would like to meet with those interested about four times this summer.  The group will meet Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. on July 10, July 24, August 7, and August 14.  Please let Pastor Yousef know if you can or can’t make those dates.  If you’ve a conflict, please talk to Pastor Yousef and he will work with you.

Youth Group

Cast Your Fears in the Fire: The youth group spent this past weekend in Wildwood Crest learning how to equip themselves with ways to conquer their fears. The retreat was based on 1 John 4:18 and a song by Zach Williams titled “Fear, He Is a Liar”.  There were three sessions:  “What Is Fear?”, “Fear or Faith”, and “Freedom from Fear”.  Pastor Mouris and Mrs. Yousef spent Saturday with us.  There was a silent hike during which the youth spent time in silent reflection. The youth leaders and Pastor Mouris led the youth through the sessions, showing them, through scripture, there is “no fear in love” and that God’s perfect love will “cast out” all our fears.  There was free time spent at the pool, on the beach and boardwalk.  We concluded the weekend with a worship service led by the youth. Thank you all for your prayers for the youth and the leaders.  Please continue to pray for your youth as they continue to strengthen their relationship with God and their faith in His perfect love.

Bible Study

Pastor Yousef is offering a weekly Bible Study every Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. from September through May.  Every follower of Jesus should attend a small group Bible study where God uses these opportunities to deepen our understanding of His Word and take our faith to the next level.  Please come and bring a friend!  Sign-up sheets for next season will be available on the board room and narthex tables.  Please sign up if you’re planning to attend.

Deacons

The Board would also like to thank the congregation for its awesome generosity every month with the Deacons Fund of Compassion offering.  Your giving enables the Deacons to continue supporting The Unforgotten Haven, IHOC Mentor Night, holiday baskets for needy families, and much, much more.

The 2017 flower chart has been posted on the bulletin board outside the narthex.   The price for next year remains the same.  Please sign up for a date today!  If you have any questions, ask a Deacon.  Thank you to Philis Notley and Sunrise Florist for providing our beautiful flowers each week!
